Welcome

Hello, My name is Lucy, I am a wife, mum and portrait and wedding photographer. My photography is about more than mementos of a portrait session or wedding day, it is emotion, soul, life, love and light. To me, it is not just about capturing how someone looks but how they feel, who they are at that point in time. My job as your photographer is to capture beautiful images, images that will not only serve as bespoke art for your home, gorgeous gifts for loved ones but as vibrant, happy memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Jamie & Hannah

Probably the quickest photo session ever but don't they look fab? Very natural and smiley!

Wednesday 9 September 2009

Well, I have been so, so busy that the poor old blog has had to take a back seat for a while. I thought for a change I would post something a bit different. I made these for my daughters classmates when the school holidays began in July.

I think they are pretty cute and Ella loved them to bits!

Oh Boy!

Another really wonderful shoot yesterday, both in terms of the weather (all blustery and sunny with fluffly clouds everywhere) and a really sweet family. Thank you 'T' for all the tips on great places to take photos and the great ideas too... a photographer in the making I think!

New Arrival

Here are a couple of photos of my neighbours new baby. He is just simply adorable and made me feel terribly broody!

Evening Light

Here are a couple of photos from my latest session. The evening light was just perfection, as was the location. Such a lovely couple and an adorable little girl, who made my job so much easier and just seemed completely unfazed by someone following her around with a camera!

Red Balloon

She is such a star... a great little model.

Goldilocks

Here are a couple of photos from a session I did last week... All I can say is, HOW CUTE???

Summer Wedding

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - I have been so busy!

I was lucky enough to assist at a wedding with the lovely Jo Hastings last week. These bridemaids looked so lovely in soft pink. The weather was glorious too. I might post some more photos shortly.

Buttercups

Last sunday I did a photo session for this lovely family and the location was just perfect! (Well done Cat!)

I arrived there a bit early and it really was a little piece of heaven. The meadow was full of buttercups, the sun was shining and it was so peaceful.

Little Planet

OK, so this is a bit weird but I was faffing around in Photoshop and came up with this. I could just do with a few hours on this little planet right about now...

Newborn

OK, so here is another quick post because I just have to show you this little guy.

He was honestly so adorable and so awake! No sleepy, floppy baby shots for him. But that's fair enough. He managed to 'work' that baby cuteness and as you can see did a very good job.

Egypt

Here are a few photos from our recent holiday to Egypt. My kids are so great at posing for me... poor things. Most nights before we went out for dinner, when they were all dressed up, showered and skin still glowing warm from the days sun, I would walk down to the beach with them. Apart from 'Bobby' the camel and a few later swimmers it was a pretty quiet time of day and just perfect for a photo shoot.

Hello there and welcome to my new blog.

My name is Lucy and I am a photographer based in Warwickshire. I specialise in location portraiture for children, although I do photo shoots for teens and families too.

I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. I think the first person who inspired me was my dad. He had an Olympus SLR camera (he still has it somewhere, I think) and he took some pretty good photos with it - some of which I might just post on here some time.

So, that's it fom me for now... no doubt there will be much, much more to follow. I'll keep you posted. ;)
